BEA Releases WebLogic Server 10.3 with Integrated Web 2.0 Capabilities
Supports Key Enterprise Initiatives Including Web 2.0 and SOA

Digg This!

"While many of BEA's key competitors have yet to deliver a Java EE 5 compatible server," said Wai Wong, BEA's executive vice president of products, "BEA WebLogic Server 10.3 will bring to market the next wave of enhancements and support for this key specification." Wong was speaking as BEA this week announced WebLogic Server 10.3.

SOA also continues to be a major focus for BEA in this release.

WebLogic Server 10.3 will offer standards updates and interoperability with Microsoft .NET to ensure that enterprises deliver services quickly and easily. Additional features include support for Java SE 6, SAML 2 and Spring 2.1, which will provide significant control, improved security and OSS enhancements.

"In addition to WebLogic Server's long-term leadership in the application server industry, BEA remains committed to continuously pushing the envelope in performance and speed," said Wai Wong.

WebLogic Server has consistently demonstrated its number one standing in performance and scalability. Earlier this year, BEA announced record-breaking benchmark performance and scalability results with WebLogic Server solidifying it as the holder of the top three SPECjAppServer2004 scores. By running BEA WebLogic Server 10 on an UltraSPARC T1 based Sun Blade 6000 Modular System, BEA achieved the overall highest SPECjAppServer2004 performance score in the industry.
